Some call it Chi Town; some, The Windy City, I call it my favorite summer get away. I love Chicago! As most of you may know I love to travel whether on business or vacation. Recently, I took a trip to the beautiful Chicago for a few days and it’s safe to say that Chicago is one of my favorite cities…only in the summer lol. Even though the winters are harsh the summers are beautiful. During my stay I was quite busy so I couldn’t visit all the places I wanted. However, I did see get to visit some pretty nice festivals. Briefly I passed through the Jazz Fest which Esperanza Spalding hosted last year. In addition to my festival visiting, I visited the annual African Festival which was packed, and I ended up spending hours there enjoying live music, food and other festivities. Here are a few pictures, I will post more over the next few of days.
JUNE 21st was a holiday that many people didn’t know about, Go Skateboarding Day. In 2009 I took advantage of a internship in DC and while I was there I had a opportunity to attended my first Go Skate Day which changed my outlook on skateboarding forever. I’ve been skateboarding for 8 yrs and that day in 2009 I fell in love with it even more. Lately, I haven’t been able to skate as much as I did before however I still make time. These are pictures taken a few days ago of my friend and I skateboarding at a skatepark. Even though we havent been skating in a while we were still the best ones out there. lol Skateboarding is not just a hobby for me I use it as a way to generate new ideas for videos and graphic design projects. Take a look at the photos and videos below.
